The completed styrene gondola body with brass detail parts and MTL trucks (since I like switching).

The body was painted yellow.
...And transparent self made decals were applied.
The yellow outline was masked with tape and the remaining was painted black.

Also at the ends transparent decals were used.

load1.jpg

For building this load I used a sheet of plastic 'kitchen keep fresh foil' to cover the gondola.
Apply white glue (for wood) to the bottom and put the 'boulders' in the gondola.

After a couple of days the white glue is dry and becomes a sort of transparent,
while it holds the 'boulders' together.

The 'new' ex-rail gon gondola loaded with boulders. These boulders are real, my gold fish gave them to me. The MTL boulders in the MTL gondola (D&RGW 56400) are plastic.
